Weekly Marketing Tip: A Simple Way to Keep Your Hygiene Schedule Full

Every practice ends up with open hygiene slots from week to week. Filling them can be the difference between a practice that’s merely surviving vs. a practice that’s thriving. The way you accommodate patients’ needs – and how you make them feel in the process – is a key way to delight patients and build intense loyalty.

Weekly Marketing Tip from Roadside

Make patients feel like a priority

When a patient has to be scheduled out for their hygiene appointment a little further out than they were hoping for, offer to add them to your Priority VIP list and let them know you’ll be sure to call if an earlier appointment opens up. Make note of their preferred days and times for appointments.

Tip: Do NOT refer to this as a “short call” list – you want your patient to feel like a priority – a Very Important Patient!

How can this list help you keep your hygiene schedule full?

  • At the end of each week, work down your Priority VIP list to fill open hygiene slots for the following week.
  • When patients perceive you’re going the extra mile to accommodate their needs and schedule, they’ll be more likely to fill up those open slots.
