We work hard to bring you the latest and greatest in the world of online marketing! Today, we want to share with you some ongoing and upcoming Facebook business page updates.
Facebook continues to be a dominant force in local marketing for businesses. Staying up to date on the tools available to the business pages can help in the following ways:
- Engage your clients and potential clients
- Connect with local businesses
- Improve engagements on posts
- Increase your page audience
Throughout the month of July, testing will be occurring on business pages. Facebook will be rolling out new features in order to get feedback and find out which changes will be most beneficial.
Here is an overview of some of the changes you may see this month when you log into your page: Facebook Page Changes
Our Favorite Facebook Business Page Updates Are…
Here are some of our favorite updates:
- More visibility for cover photos (making them a great spot to feature announcements and special events!)
- More prominent placement of call to action features
The first thing that you’ll likely notice is the new look and feel. The large, unobstructed cover photo has AMAZING marketing potential to show off new products, special offers, contests, and more.
We are also very excited about the call to action features being more prominent. We love ANYTHING that brings attention to things that will engage existing and potential clients!
Tag People and Businesses
On another note regarding Facebook: A question we get frequently from our clients is, “Can I tag individuals and businesses in posts on my Facebook business page?” At this point, the answer is YES.
While the answer to this question has changed from time to time, we wanted to include a link to Facebook’s latest standards for this. Click here for direct access to the answer on their help center.
Have you seen any of these updates on your page yet? Are there any you like or dislike? Be sure and send your feedback to Facebook; your voice matters!
If you have more questions about how these Facebook business page updates will affect YOUR practice, contact your Account Manager or ask us a question in the comments below. We’ll answer as soon as possible!
